THOMPSON VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL is ready to turn our attention to a new year of exciting high school sports! With 6 different athletes named League Athlete of the Year, 5 Head Coaches named League Coach of the Year and 18 different teams making it to State Playoffs, we're ready to do it again!
REGISTRATION
Registration for Fall Sports opens July 1 and must be done online at: https://studentcentral.bigteams.com/
--All Athletes must upload a current sports physical to their registration. CHSAA has provided a NEW PHYSICAL form so if yours expires over summer, please use the new one.
--All Athletes MUST carry some type of health insurance. Contact K&K Insurance as an option for affordable insurance.
SPORTS FEES
--Base fees for in-district students is $175 per person, per first two sports. Third sport is $50. FAMILY MAXIMUM FOR THE YEAR: $400
--Base fees for out-of-district students is $225 per person, per first two sports. Third sport is $50. FAMILY MAXIMUM FOR THE YEAR: $500
--Cheer/Spirit do not pay base fees, but MUST register online.
--FOOTBALL has an additional required, non-refundable equipment fee of $150 that is paid ONLY the first year of play. Any uniform/helmet worn MUST be refurbished annually and this fees helps offset some of those costs.
--Financial difficulty paying fees: Finances can be a burden, but TVHS feels no student-athlete should be turned away for this reason. Options include: Applying and qualifying for District Free and Reduced Meal program allows us to waive all fees but Football Equipment. There is a fee assistance program through the Thompson Education Foundation called “Leveling the Playing Field”. Refer to the slide on this website about it. Discuss financial issues with your coach and/or the Athletic Office. We do our best to find sponsors and assist all students!
