Biography:

Senior athlete Paityn Saldana leaves Thompson Valley after 4 years on the Eagle Swim/Dive team. Paityn's greatest influence in high school has been Coach Trevor Ten Brink saying "He was always there to wipe my tears, he alwasy encouraged me during my hardest times in high school and he reminded me that there was an end in sight, even when I couldn't see it." A favorite memory is going to Cinzetti's after big meets in Denver.  Paityn's advice to younger athletes is: Don't beat yourself up if you have a bad meet or game. There is victory even in the losses!

Grand Canyon University is gaining a remarkable young lady when Paityn starts working on her Substance Abuse Counseling degree there this fall.

Paityn would like to thank her mom and stepdad for always supporting her and for waking her up for those early morning practices she didn't want to go to! Also, Coach Ten Brink for helping her become the person she is today and to the team for always putting a mile on her face and encouraging her.
